These terms govern registration, bidding and buying on MuseZeuM. By registering you accept them.
Registration and approval
You must register and be approved before you can bid. Approval requires an address and identity documents, which our team reviews. We may decline or withdraw approval at our discretion.
Bidding is binding
A bid is an offer to buy at that price and cannot be retracted. Bidding is by proxy: you set a maximum, and we bid on your behalf in increments only as far as needed to keep you in front, up to that maximum.
Reserves
A lot may carry a reserve — the lowest price the consignor will accept. Where bidding does not reach the reserve, the lot goes unsold. Whether a reserve has been met is shown on the lot.
Closing and extensions
Lots in a sale close one at a time, a minute apart. If a competing bid is placed in the final minute, that lot's close is extended by two minutes so others can respond. Increasing your own maximum while already in front does not extend the close.
Buy Now
Fixed-price lots are sold to the first buyer to complete checkout. They are one of one; once sold they are gone.
Payment
Payment is due on the terms set out in our Payment guide. Title does not pass until payment has cleared in full.
Condition and description
Lots are sold as described. Condition reports are our honest opinion and not a warranty; where a piece has been restored we say so. Ask before bidding if anything is unclear — we would rather answer than have a lot returned.
Limitation
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
