Photographs, whatever you know of its history, and any paperwork you hold. Nothing formal — a few phone pictures are enough to begin.

We appraise it
A specialist reviews it and comes back with an estimate range, the reserve we would recommend, and which sale it belongs in.

We catalogue and sell
Photography, condition report and provenance research are handled here. You approve the reserve before the lot opens.
What we look for
- Objects with a documented history — who owned it, and how you came by it.
- Condition that can be described honestly, restoration included.
- Anything where provenance is the point: played, worn, carried, signed.
Before you write
Have the piece to hand and photograph it in daylight — the whole object, then the details, marks and any damage. We would rather see the flaws early than discover them at cataloguing.
